Milan's jewellery range has drawn influences from far and wide.
At times he has borrowed from the extravagance of the 1980s, but
he has also worked with precious stones and most recently created
a range of pearl jewellery in combination with other materials.
He says he inherited his love of jewellery from his family ''who
had a keen appreciation of beautiful and valuable things''. This
legacy is present in many of his one-off and brand designs.
There are two fragrances which figure most prominently
in Milan St. Markoviæ's work: the first one, Cygni
35, was launched in 2000 in time for the World
EXPO 2000 Exhibition in Hanover and garnered huge success. The fragrance
does not bear Milan's signature since it was designed under the
aegis of the Domus Domini project, again run by Milan.
His second fragrance, though the first to emerge
under the Milan St. Markoviæ name, is Velvet
Iron. It was launched in Belgrade on 26 September
2003. This is a sophisticated fragrance with classical overtones,
giving a unique touch of lasting and memorable elegance.
